Features of the Petzl Actik head torch
The two light beams, wide or focused, make the head torch suitable for outdoor activities such as mountaineering, running or backpacking. You can also choose between red and white light. Red light is perfect for maintaining your night vision and - even more importantly - many animals don't notice red light.
Petzl Actik light options
What makes this torch so practical is the fact that it offers two light profiles within one torch: one for close-up and one for far away. The choice is yours. The Petzl Actik has 3 white light levels and 2 red LED modes: constant-on or flashing. You can change it with just one push of a button, depending on the situation. Briefly press the switch to turn the light on and to cycle through the different light modes. The torch starts in the least bright light mode. After going through all the light modes, the torch switches off. Holding the button down for half a second activates the red light.
IPX4 standard
This head torch has an IPX4 rating, which means it is splash-proof. You can carry the torch carefree in the rain, but immersion in water is not a great idea. This keeps the torch working reliably during a rain or snow. Moreover, the torch is tiltable in several positions, which is ideal if you want to read in the dark.
Hybrid concept
The Petzl Actik runs on three AAA batteries, but is also compatible with the rechargeable Petzl Core battery. The Petzl Core is a rechargeable Li-ion battery that you can use to replace three AAA batteries. As such, you can turn your head torch into a rechargeable version. You can always easily recharge the light with the USB-C cable. No more fuss with changing batteries!
Petzl Actik Core
This collection contains the Actik Core lights. These torches include the rechargeable Petzl CORE battery. But they also work with three AAA batteries. As such, you will never be left without light with the Actik Core. The Actik Core lights are also a little more powerful than the regular Petzl Actik. They have a maximum output of as much as 450 lumens, exceptional endurance and easy operation.
